Penny Rachell Buenneke Saunders


Penny Rachell Buenneke Saunders went to be with our Lord Saturday November 8, 2014 after a long battle with Stage 4 Melanoma at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Havehill, MA Penny began this battle with a mole on her knee that develop into malignant melanoma and lead to several more tumors and visits to Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston, MA .Penny was born March 7, 1963 in Dallas, Texas Penny is survived by her husband of 20 years, Carl of Epping, NH. Siblings, Dawn Roberts of Frisco, TX, Kay Bloomfiled, of Kemp, TX , Rita Campbell of Whitney, TX and Kenneth Buenneke Jr. of Armstrong, IA. Many niece and nephews, cousins, sister in-laws Suz -Anne, Beth, Kathy, Brenda, Christine and Debbie. Brother in-laws, Ben, Clifford, Mike, Stephen, Billy, Joey, and Fred. Daughter of the late Kenneth Buenneke and Frances Buenneke, daughter in – law of the late Donna Saunders. Pennys’Aunt Audrey Clinton of West Tawakoni, TX Carl’s Uncle Don and Aunt Janice Dewey of South Weymouth, MA Penny was born and raised in the Dallas, TX area and met Carl while working for Associated Optical in Mesquite, TX in 1992 and married in July 1994. Penny had 2 cats, Poopy and Moo Moo and the late Tabitha that she loved and they will miss her as much as we all will. Penny and Carl relocated to NH Dec 2006 from Kemp, TX so that Carl could be close to his family in MA following the death of Penny’s parents. Penny loved the ocean, her favorite being York Beach in Maine. Penny loved Margaritas’ on the rocks, Mexican food, Carl, her family, she was forever the care taker and always the peace maker. Penny wanted all people and family to be happy with no conflicts, she had the ability to make everyone smile. To quote Carl, “She was always in Charge”, up until the very end Penny made all her own decisions regarding her journey. Our family is very committed to making people aware of Melanoma so please let us know how you met Penny and your best memory of her when visiting the on line guest book.
