Edna B. Grason


Edna B. Grason, age 96, formerly of Lincoln, Massachusetts, beloved mother and wife, died July 11, 2016 at Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence. She will be missed by her family and devoted friends and caregivers at Concord Park Assisted Living.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Rufus L. Grason. Born in Glenfield, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest of the 10 children of Samuel E. and Lillian B. Brown. Rufus and Peg moved to Lincoln in 1954 to the home they built together. They summered at Lake Monomonac, Rindge, New Hampshire.

Peg received her RN from Suburban General Hospital School of Nursing, Bellevue, Pennsylvania, in 1941. She worked with her husband in founding Grason-Stadler, Inc. a manufacturer of medical instruments. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of the Lincoln Historical Society. Her years of historical research are now part of the Lincoln historical archives. Rufus and Peg travelled the world together and in retirement enjoyed the Elderhostel classes they took.

She is survived by her children: Doris G. Shaw and husband David of Jaffrey, New Hampshire; Kathryn J. G. Ramon of Lincoln, Massachusetts; and Rufus Leroy Grason and wife Sharon of Rindge, New Hampshire; grandchildren, William L. Ramon and wife Karen of Medford, Massachusetts; Jordan L. Grason and wife Katie of Rindge, New Hampshire; great- grandchildren, Katrina Ramon and Alexander Ramon.

Services will be private.
