Natick – Michael E. “Mike” Donahue, 75, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2017. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth A. “Betsy” (Morrill) Donahue.
Mike was a devoted father to Joseph A. Donahue & his wife Annette of Marlborough, Timothy E. Donahue of Natick, and Patrick M. Donahue of Natick. Survived by siblings: John Donahue, Dolores Donahue, and Gene Donne and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings: Catherine Vickers, Daniel Donahue, James Donahue, Mary Crowley, Dorothy Kerr, Anne Dubusky, and Rose Timmerman.
Mike was born in Roxbury, MA and moved to Natick with his wife Betsy in 1975. Mike was very active in Cub Scout Pack 49 and the Johnson Elementary School in Natick. He loved vacationing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. After retiring from Newton Electrical Supply, Mike decided to adopt a 13yo rescue dog from Tennessee named, “Snowball” and the two bonded immediately.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, MA. Immediately following will be a burial service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery and a reception at AMVETS Post #79 in Natick, MA.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Michael’s memory may be made to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 3rd Floor Boston, MA 02116.
