Barbara Ruth Small passed away on April 4 th at the age of 86, she was surrounded by her family.

Barbara was the middle child of 3 born in Natick MA to the late Albert Bowman and Dorothy Bowman Heinlein.

Barbara had many interests and loves. She is best remembered for the beautiful quilts she made for her family and friends. Barbara loved the Maine woods where she resided and the ocean where she spent most of her childhood.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Jim. She leaves behind her brother Robert Bowman and his wife Lori, her sister Marylou and husband Frank Burns, sister in-law Barbara Bowman. Her 6 children Linda Hauge, Brad & Linda Small, David Small & his girlfriend Shelly Rapp. Lisa & Mike Landry, Karen & John Carneiro, Heather & Todd Cornell, & step daughter Rosanne Stevens.

Also, fortunate enough to have known her were her grandchildren Laura & her husband Bill Thrasher, Ashley Hauge, Danielle Small & her husband Alex Summers, Jeffery & his wife Melissa Small, Lauren Small, Eric, Amanda & Taylor Small, Jason & Ryan Landry, Samantha, Robert, Bailey & Joseph Carneiro, Tanner, Mason & Sara Cornell.

Also, great grandchildren Michael Hauge, Billy & Haylee Thrasher, Christian Goldstein, & Abigail Small. Along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled on June 13 th at 10:15am at Bourne National Cemetery.
