    Papa,

No words can express the sadness in my heart. I sometimes dont know how we can all make it through these days ahead. Since ive been young you have pushed me to be a better me. You were my biggest supporter, the best dance judge and the greatest dad a girl could have. You showed me how to do everything from fixing a toilet to building just about anything. I remember you saying just in case you dont have a man in your life or one that knows how to be “handy”. Well thank god you did .. as we manage to pull ourself together, the one thing i ask of you is please help mom get strong. Watch over our family like you always did. I love you papa .. 143.

To Cathy and family..no words can express how saddened we are to hear of your loss. Cousin Bert was the “head” of the cousins and I always looked up to him. His humor I know he got from our grandfather who I never met. Sad..I have seen pictures of him here and there and Burt’s humor is definitely a Howe thing. The entertaining grandparents really showed up in me. I love singing, dancing and just entertaining everyone I know! Please take good care of yourself and get your family through these next hard days. Even though we didn’t see much of each other I want to say I love you and your family. Please know God is good and will take care of all of you too.

We all love him. Know that we love you and you will be in our hearts and prayers…when you feel that horrible loss just think of his love for you all….you were his life! Love Diane

It has been a long time but the memories that we have of our friendships will never leave us. They were all good ones. Burt was an amazing husband, dad, papa and friend. Stay strong and just believe that he is not far away.
