Carla was always so full of life and laughter during out years growing up in Gloucester. She was a lovely, generous, kind person, someone you could trust. I’m very sorry for her family.

Carla found me an apartment on the Cambridge line, which she also managed for a time. I moved there in late 1997. She was very kind and worked to ensure that remodeling and upkeep were timely. A few months later, she suggested that the rear apartment in the house, which was becoming available, might be better suited for me. I liked the idea, and switched to that location. I remained there for 16 years. Sometimes a timely, caring suggestion can make all the difference, and Carla was the expert of the timely, caring suggestion. The world needs more of that. If you knew Carla, you will remember her personality, sense of humor, professionalism, willingness to listen, and patience. She made a difference in other lives, too, I am certain. I know the memories she leaves provide some consolation for all those she cared for, and of those there were many.
