This world is a much darker place without my friend. We served in the Navy together for a time as nurses and her laughter always made me smile. Although time and distance and life’s circumstances caused us to drift apart she remained and still remains in that special place in my heart. Her support was instrumental in getting me through naval flight training after I left the nurse corps and her selfless acts of kindness were second to one. My heart will never be the same and will continue to hurt until my days are complete. I miss my friend. I miss everything about her. I pray for her family and know how fruitless any words of mine might be in an attempt to assuage the anguish of their lost love.
People might forget what Carol did and people might forget what Carol said, but they will NEVER forget how she made them feel.
Rest peacefully my dear friend. ❤️
