Claudette B. Gosson


It is with great sadness that the family of Claudette Blanche (LaHaye)
Gosson, 81, announce her passing after a brief illness on Friday, March 26,
2021 at home, lovingly surrounded by her family. Claudette was the wife of
the late Kenneth R. Gosson of 50 years. She was born in Fall River, MA the
daughter of the late Charles and Aurore (Proulx) LaHaye. Claudette was
predeceased by her parents and brother Charles LaHaye, Jr. of
Southborough. Claudette leaves 2 sons, Wayne and his wife Beth of South
Carolina, Raymond and his wife Penny of East Taunton. She leaves a
beloved granddaughter Brittany Lee of East Taunton. A brother-in-law John
and his wife Marlene Gosson of Fall River. She is survived by several nieces
and nephews.

Mrs. Gosson was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. Claudette worked
as a Home Health Aide for the Southeastern Visiting Nurse Association for 32
years before her retirement in 2011.

Traveling, chorus singing, reading and Si-Fi movies were among Claudette’s
favorite past times. She enjoyed several cruises with her family, playing the
slot machines at Foxwoods. Taking scenic rides to the Cape or to the
mountains of Maine. She especially loved the wonderful companionship of
her cat Max.

Claudette was a friend of Bill W’s for 36 years. She was a member of the
Southeastern Massachusetts Festival Chorus for 20+ years and has
requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to
Southeastern Massachusetts Festival Chorus, 12 Rockland Street, Taunton,
MA 02780 or Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Road, Suite 120 Fairhaven, MA
02719

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service to be held at the
Cedar Knoll Cemetery, 175 Staples Street in East Taunton on Wednesday,
March 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM
