Donald O’Rourke


A life long resident of Malden, was a Marine, a father, a grandfather, a brother, and a friend to all.

He leaves behind, a daughter Dawn O’Rourke, his step daughter Darleane Freudenberg, Dodie Vaughn Brown, and his step son Charles T Child The Third, two sisters Barbara Hennessey, Patty Delaney. He also left behind several grandchildren and great grand children, whom he adored all of them and several very close friends at 630 Salem street Malden Massachusetts, where he lived.

He will be known for his singing and jokes along with wonderful stories. He did survive his wife Jeannette O’Rourke who passed in 2015 whom he was married to for 40 years. He was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed.

    My papa, my life my everything. He’s a man I could depend on for anything, he’s the type of man who would give you the last 3 dollars in his wallet. He was a kind generous man. I’ll never forget any Christmas he had given to me, he always made sure me and my brother came first, that’s the type of papa he was. I’ll always remember those jokes he had, the laugh, the smile. They way he would he would go hey Ashley baby! When I would show up. I’m going to miss you so much and your singing too, along with playing cards. I love you papa! Rest In Peace

    Dad you were my world since I was a baby you always protected me loved me and showed me compassion tough love and you never gave up on me you helped me raise my kids you gave them everything we never went without anything you made Everyone laugh smile even during hard times you stood strong ! I can’t imagine my life without you Dad! But fly with the angels now and sing with Mom in heaven as you watch over me!

    This wonderful man you will never ever meet another one like him ever again I knew him for 31 years always respected me in every way he was a great man and did great things he will be truly missed by not only his family but by me I will miss all the times we had going fishing every Sunday morning in the summer will miss you every day thank you for all you have done you are one standup man I have ever known in my life rest in peace Dad…
