I am emotional as I write these words.

I will miss you Edim, we worked together for 19 years at DCF. We were a family (unit H). I will miss your laughter, and resistance. You were definitely strong minded, and knowledgeable. I appreciated our long conversations/debates. I was saddened to hear of your loss, but I believe you are no longer in pain, but at peace. I will remember all the memories we shared, from comedy, music, family, travel, movies (Tyler Perry Madea), and rides to court. You were so loving, helpful and generous. You definitely deserve to be a guardian angel with beautiful wings .

My heart goes out to your family and friends affected by your loss .

I promise to visit Africa and keep all the cards you’ve given me.

    Rest in paradise my friend

Edim was a beautiful and kind soul; stopping to say hi in the hallway to everyone he met at work, and always with a beautiful and loving smile on his face. May he always rest in peace.

You were a man that lived by your own rules and yet one of the kindest and most thoughtful individuals I have ever met.. I valued moments when we shared our music with one another, when you took me to a Latin Jazz concert and the fishing trips we went to with other co-workers. My condolences to your family and loved ones left behind. You are greatly missed.

I’m saddened to hear of your passing but feel so lucky that I worked with you for 7 years. You took me under your wing and always covered for me when I needed it. You were one of the kindest, gentlest, generous and endearing people I’ve ever met. You and I had fun together in our unit and you always had a soft spot for my husband because you knew he had to put up with me. I thank you for making our very difficult job at DCF so meaningful to me. Rest In Peace Edim.

It is hard when you lose your peer but it is even harder when you know that he was looking forward to better days in retirement. He so eloquently articulated social problems we faced in Nigeria and promised to put pen to paper with resolution of the recent health challenges he was facing.

An accomplished musician and a tireless social worker has been taken away from us with an unfulfilled promise – that’s life, I guess!
Kokoete, you will be sorely missed.

Though I did not know Edim during his lifetime here, reading all these beautiful messages about him, these words come to my mind: kind, gentle, family, compassionate, intelligent, musical, and independent thinker. I am full of gratitude and feel very blessed to be put in his family’s path to help now. Rest in peace, Edim.

Shortly she came back to UK, he passed on to Glory . You will be greatly missed by your favourite nieces and family . May his soul continue to rest in peace

This is an unfortunate news. It is sad to find out through Google search that a friend and love one has departed prematurely. I will miss our fortnightly phone conversations. Rest in peace my brother.
