In Loving Memory of Eileen Ruth Perry (Weinmann) (1933 – 2020)

Eileen Ruth Perry of Walpole, MA passed away peacefully at Norwood Hospital on Friday, May 29th, 2020, at age 86 after a brief illness. Eileen was born December 1933 in Jamaica, Long Island, NY to Bridget (O’Callaghan) and William Weinmann.
An avid tennis player, Eileen was a member of several tennis teams in Newington, CT and Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was the recipient of many club trophies in singles and doubles. In recent years, she was most happy in the company of her son, William D. Perry, and her three grandchildren: Meaghan, Matthew, and Maureen Perry.

Eileen is pre-deceased by her loving husband and beloved best friend, David J. Perry, Sr. of Newington, CT (1927-1996). A loving mother and grandmother, Eileen is survived by her son, William David Perry and his wife, Patricia Malone Perry (Norton, MA). She is also survived by her sister and lifelong confidante, Betty (Elizabeth) Hurgin of Bethel, CT, and her brother William Weinmann of Long Island, NY, as well as her step-son, David J. Perry, Jr. of Newington, CT, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care and many kindnesses provided by nursing and hospitality staff during her six years at Walpole Health (formerly Harrington House).
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen’s memory to the Mass General Emergency Response Fund at giving.massgeneral.org or to a charity of your choice.
