Elizabeth Velez
Elizabeth Velez Cruz of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2019 at the age of 79 in Winchester Hospital. Born in New York, NY on July 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Angelica Velez and retired from Mo-ka Shoe Corporation after many decades of service. Loving mami to Lissette Badillo and her fiancé Jose Hernandez, loving Atita to Thalia Cordón, loving abuela to Emmanuel Feliciano, and loving pet-mom to Nuri. She leaves behind family and friends who will always miss her tenacity, her infectious smile, and her love of coffee, frituras, and all things sweet. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to: Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción for their continued efforts for the Puerto Rican community in Boston. A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2019 from 9am to 11am at Boston Cremation at 287 Main St, Malden.
