Helen Rose (Carlson) McConaughy of Marblehead, Massachusetts passed away on September. 7, 2013 she was 88 years old. Helen was born and raised in Pomeroy, Iowa and she attended the Iowa Methodist Nursing Program and obtained her nursing degree and began her career as a nurse and caregiver. Helen was a Marblehead, Massachusetts resident for over thirty years where she made her home with her two sons Steven and Stuart her oldest son Scott and his wife Jean live in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Helen is also survived by her loving sister Elois Ewing of Iowa and her three cherished grandchildren; Ben, Kris and Samantha. A celebration of Helen’s life will be in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, MA on Friday, Sept. 13^th at 3:30pm, relatives and friends are kindly invited.
