Henry J. Fredrickson
Henry J. Fredrickson of Boxborough, MA died peacefully on February 29 2016 at the age of 81.
Henry is survived by his loving family including his wife of 56 years Susan, his children; Kendra Bronson and her husband Bret of Leesburg, Virginia, Heather Fredrickson of Boxborough, MA, Holly Fredrickson of Ayer, MA and Scott Fredrickson and his wife Susan of Weston, CT his grandchildren Morgan Bronson of Leesburg, VA, Shane Bronson of Leesburg, VA, Catherine Fredrickson of Weston, CT, Elizabeth Fredrickson of New York, NY and Kirsten Goetz and her husband Ken of Colorado Springs, CO and his sister Shirley Boutilier and her husband Jim of Mashpee, MA
Henry was born in Weymouth, MA on June 12, 1934. He graduated from Weymouth High School in 1952 and went on to earn a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Henry served honorably in the US Army. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon and later worked in Optical Engineering at Itek until his retirement on the island of St. John USVI in 1991, where he and Susan owned a villa management company
for several years.
Henry enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and was a world class handyman in every neighborhood he lived including the Friends of VI National Park and St John Animal Shelter. He was an active volunteer at the Boxborough Council of Aging and The Acton Community Supper and Food Pantry, delivering food to those in need up until his death.
A memorial gathering celebrating Henry’s life will take place at a later date.

My condolences to Susie and family on the passing of Henry. I have many fond memories of our times together and Henry’s generous help and support through the years. I still have, and cherish, the wooden balloon cut-out presented at Matthew’birth! Please know I am thinking of you all at this sad time.
