Hernando Betancur Jr.
Hernando De Jesus Betancur Jr. (AKA Nando BKA Jr.) was born on 3/15/1984. He lived in Chelsea most of his life and in surrounding cities. Jr. was an honest, hardworking, loyal, dedicated person since he was a young man. Always very responsible and reliable. Even as a very young father, he took those responsibilities very serious and at heart. He grew into a very rare man that was a loving devoted husband and active, caring, encouraging, father. To know Junior, to REALLY know Jr. is to know that there is no one like him. PERIOD!! He isn’t great because he passed, and “everyone” is great when they pass. He is great because of who he was, what he did, what he didn’t do, how he did things, and why he did things. He was fearless and stood up for who and what he believed in, then topped it off with dedicating his whole life to his family, willingly lovingly, and happily. He passed away at the young age of 38 years after battling brain cancer for over 2 years. Even during his battle, he kept a brave face and used every ounce of energy to continue to love and be with his family. He passed away peacefully and painlessly at home with none other than his wife and kids. His love, spirit, and crazy stories will live on through his family and friends. He will be forever loved and never forgotten. Junior is survived by:

Children- Kaylum Betancur, Xylise Betancur, Zyana Betancur, and Donnell Skeen
Siblings- Susan Morales, Anthony Morales, John Betancur, Amanda Betancur, Carolina Machuka, Estefania Betancur, and Christian Betancur
Sister-in-laws- Diana Betancur, Dianna Colon, and Valerie Fields
Brother-in-laws- Santos Fields, Pedro Fields, Sandro Colon, and Michael Fields
As well as many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Boston Cremation located at 287 Main St. Malden, MA 02148 from 9am-11am.
