James Charles Beatty was born on March 1,1942 in West Virginia. In the early 1970’s James moved to
Massachusetts where he spent his life enjoying socializing with family and friends. James enjoyed
playing cards and dominos. He was a fan of football, basketball, but his favorite was baseball he was a
huge NY Yankee fan.

James was affectionately known as “Beatty”, but to his family, close friends, and close neighbors he was
called “Pops”. James loved his family and would often share stories with his son Kyle and friends as they
would sit on the front porch reminisce about the good old days while drinking his favorite beer. James
had a wonderful spirit and warm heart. But let us not forget he spoken his mind and would put you in
your place when needed.

James is survived by four children James Beatty Jr., Yolanda Elders, Chanel Jordan, and Kyle James
Coleman. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 20 plus great grandchildren, his longtime love Karen
Hamilton, and a host of friends. James had so much love inside him that he took on the father/
grandfather role of others that were blessed to know him.

In the early hours on September 4, 2020 James Beatty departed this earth peacefully in his sleep. He will
be truly missed by many. Let us not stay in the sorrow of his passing but keep his memory flourishing by
remembering the good times you have share with him, his laughter and smile.
