Janet “Jan” M. Noseworthy

Tewksbury- Janet “Jan” M. Noseworthy passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on May 19, 2021.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harvey Noseworthy, her two daughters Kristin and Danielle Noseworthy, and her beloved grandson Brayden Asselin. She is also survived by her two sisters Trisha Zani and Carol McHugh.
Janet was born on January 19, 1956 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Mario and Rita Roscio. She graduated from Watertown high school. After high school she worked at Western Electric where she met her husband Harvey and a long list of lifelong friends. They married on April 29, 1978 and moved to Tewksbury shortly after, where they went on to raise their two girls.
Jan devoted her life to her family and friends. She was the most selfless loving woman, who would do anything to help others. She enjoyed working hard, trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City with her best friends, being “Auntie Jan” to anyone who needed a spare auntie, lobster rolls down the cape, but most importantly spoiling her favorite person, her grandson Brayden. Being his “Mamma” was her greatest joy in this world. Recently retired from 20 years at the post office, she looked forward to spending every moment she could with him. She will be greatly missed by anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting her.
A memorial mass will be held in her memory on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 1130am at St Williams church 1351 Main St, Tewksbury, MA 01876. A celebration of life will follow in Jan’s memory at a later date.

    Trisha and Carol,
Janet left me with so many memories of growing up on Merrifield Ave. Mahjong, cards, driving around in her car. She talked loudly and a mile a minute! It was her trademark. She was full of life and always very generous to others. I remember she gave my date her car so he could take me to my senior prom.
Take comfort she is no longer in pain and will always be with you in spirit. XO

My heart is broken to hear that Jan has left us. Such a fun loving person who would literally give you the shirt off her back. What fun we all had at Western Electric back in the day. Bowling on Thursday nights, all the softball games and the trips to the cape were memories I will always treasure. She made friends with anyone she stumbled upon and kept those friendships forever. I am so sorry to hear she was in pain in the end but she fought a good fight so many times in her life. She cherished her husband and girls with such unconditional love and we all know how she felt about her little sidekick. He grew up at the casinos, eating at the best restaurants and swimming in those beautiful pools with his main squeeze. She will be sorely missed by so many. May she be free from pain and rest in eternal peace.

We all just kids when we met each other working at Western Electric.
Reading all the condolences shows how loved Jan really was.
For some strange reason she liked me.
All I can say is that it’s a good thing I sold her a good car.
    Friends will always be friends
I will always remember that very fast voice saying “Paolo, give me back my newspaper, it’s not mine, it’s my mother’s”

    Jan
    Rest In Piece

As Joe Sullivan would say “ time to go”

Janet was my first employer. She was working 3 jobs and I helped take care of her children when she was at job #1. She was always very generous and often tipped me when she had a good day. Her girls are exceptional human beings just like their amazing mother. Janet was also very close with my grandmother and visited her often or took her to Bingo. There was never a person Anet wouldn’t befriend. Never anyone Janet wouldn’t help. She alway had a smile on her face. Love and miss you Janet

We have been friends since our girls were in kindergarten, have had many laughs and memories over the years. Will never forget our bus trip to PEI- to say the least it was very memorable! So thankful for our many phone calls especially over the past year and thankful I got to see you on May 19th. Rest in peace my friend! Hope there is a casino in heaven for you! xoxo

Harvey, Kristin,Danielle & Brayden I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how you are all dealing with this. Janet is like a sister to me. I miss her so much. We talked every day. Most days twice a day. That is a void in my life that will never be replaced and that’s hard for me to deal with. In my heart I know she wouldn’t want us to be sad but remember her as loving us. She was the most loving, caring person. Always making sure we were happy. Love you all and the happy memories will pull us through this ❤️
