May 6, 1942 ~ March 9, 2023

On March 9, 2023 our beloved Mother Jean E. Roy entered God’s Kingdom at the age of  80. Jean was born on May 6, 1942 to Ruth and Harrold Roy of Cambridge, Massachusetts.  

Jean was a loving mother survived by her daughter Diana Manning, and her son Bill McDonald. She was the proud grandmother to Robert Manning and his wife Destinee Manning, and Jean’s great-grandson Maxwell Manning. Jean was predeceased by her siblings Harrold Roy, Shirley Roy, Jack Roy, Leonard Roy, Edward Roy, and Richard Roy. Jean is survived by her siblings Robert Roy, David Roy and his wife Helen, Donald Roy, her beloved sister Beverly LeClair and her partner Robert Green, and her sister-in- law Barbara Roy. Jean was blessed to have many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the morning of Friday, March 24, 2023 at Boston Cremation, 287 Main St. Malden, MA 02148. There will also be a family gathering to honor Jean’s life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 2-6PM at the VFW 14 Chipman Ave. Melrose, MA 02176.
