Jean Marie Blackler (Morgan)
Jean Marie Blackler (Morgan), 76, of East Boston on May 7, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband Robert G. Blackler (married August 29, 1964 in Boston), sisters Catherine L. Carpenter of Dorchester, Dorothy Reed of Kingston, Margaret Mitchell of Hawthorne, FL, her sons Christopher L. Blackler and Robert G. Blackler, Jr., her daughter Laura J. Blackler, daughter-in-law Jessica Bateman Blackler, grandson Graham F. Brown, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean graduated from the Jeremiah Burke High School in 1957 and received her BFA in Fashion Design from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1961. She retired from the Boston Public Library in 2009, after 25 years of service as a Library Assistant 4. She was also very involved with her local AFSCME chapter.
