Joao Carlos Pereira passed away on August 11, 2022 at the age of 84 with his wife and loved ones by his side.

Joao was born in the Azores where he met the love of his life, Carmelia. In their 63 years of marriage, together they created a beautiful and loving family. They raised 4 children and were blessed with 7 grandchildren, with their first great-grandchild on the way. One of nine children, Joao is survived by his two loving sisters, along with many nieces and nephews.

Joao loved to fish, watch sports, and most of all, spend time with his family. A carpenter by trade, Joao had many skills and took pride in using them to help others. From patching a hole in the wall to remodeling a home – he always had the time and was always happy to help. Often described by many as sweet, awesome, and wonderful, Joao was a man of honor and respect. He will be missed and forever loved by so many.

Services to honor Joao will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11a.m. at St. Mary’s Church located at 330 Pratt Street in Mansfield, MA. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
