John F. Mahoney, of Belmont MA, died peacefully in his sleep on December 16th, 2024 at the age of 90. Born in Everrett, MA on February 28, 1934, the second child and eldest son of Goldie J. (Balcom) & Timmy Mahoney.  

A beloved & devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, John will be remembered for his gift of gab, passion for sports & shopping and deep love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dale, his children Sean Mahoney, Ashley (Aaron) Mahoney Jones & Brendan (Debbie) Mahoney, his grandchildren, Brian (Tara) Rochelo, Julie Rochelo, Leo Jones & Cody Jones and his great grandchildren, Cailyn Rochelo, Tierney Rochelo, Elise Rochelo, Joey Cronin, Michael Cronin and Jaya Rochelo and his sister, Carole Morin-Mahoney. 

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Goldie & Timmy, his siblings Jean Kiefer, Robert Mahoney, Edward Mahoney, Sr, Richard Mahoney and Donald Mahoney and his daughter, Pamela Agnes Mahoney.

In lieu of a funeral, his loved ones will be gathering in Waterville Valley, NH to spread his ashes in one of his most favorite places.
