John N. Lazarus
John N. Lazarus died at his home in Gloucester on December 9, 2015, of pancreatic cancer. He was 67. The oldest of five children born to Roger and Peggy (Gross) Lazarus, John grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He graduated from Harvard in 1969 and went into technical writing, working in documentation at Spartacus Computers, at Sun Microsystems as writer and manager, and in project management at Symantec. He had a wide range of interests that included rowing, hiking, camping, backpacking, gardening, cooking, and breadmaking. He cherished his family and friends and was adored by his three grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Martha; his children, Ginger, Brian, and Sarah; his mother, Peggy; his siblings, David, Katherine, Virginia, and Elizabeth; his sons-in-law Garin Boyd and Hugo Moreno; his grandchildren, Molly and Bridget Boyd and Rumi Moreno; and by aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
