Joseph Dukeshire Sr. “Duke”


Joseph Thomas Dukeshire “Duke”, 81, of Malden, MA died on Aug.10, 2015 at home surround by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 26, 1933 in Boston and was a member of the Teamsters Local 1445. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice, with whom he shared almost 60 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Joseph Jr. and his wife Kaylene of Elm Springs, AR, William, James and Theresa all of Malden, and Robert and his wife Luisa of Naples, Italy. He was a cherished grandfather to David and his wife Jennifer, Allan and his wife Deena, James, Kelci, Thomas, Christopher, and great-grandfather to Sara, Joelle, Kylee, Katherine and Griffin. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas who passed in 1993. Joe enjoyed horse racing, cooking and spending time with his family. He was a rock for his family providing them all with strength, wisdom, humor and love. Friends may call on Thursday 4-8pm at Boston Cremation, 287 Main St., Malden. A mass will be held Friday 10am at Sacred Hearts Church, Malden. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home an hour prior.
