Joseph Lyons
Joseph James Henry Lyons, 79, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Born on November 14, 1944, Joseph dedicated much of his life to serving his community and nurturing his family with love and kindness.Joseph worked for over 20 years as a beloved crossing guard in Somerville, where he was affectionately recognized as a hero by the students of Lincoln Park Community School, now known as Albert F. Argenziano School. His commitment extended beyond his professional life into his spiritual life; he was a long-standing and active member of the Saint Joseph Parish in Somerville, Massachusetts, where he also volunteered for decades.Known for his bright and jolly personality, Joseph was a loving, caring, and compassionate man. He was a 10-time bowling champion in Utica, New York, and he cherished looking after his family and his church, which were his main hobbies.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Thuong; sister-in-law, Tammy; children, Donald and his wife Hien, Thu Ha, and Rose; grandchildren, Angel and her fiancé Steve, Alison, Tony, Yamasee, Casey, Shayla, Dominic, Dana, and Dean; and great-grandchildren, Anela, Alfredo, Aria, Stevie, Lunar, and Ollie.
