Karen Fedas 72, passed away on 3/3/14 in Boston, MA. Karen grew up in New York, but Florida was her home having lived in North Miami Beach, Hollywood, Boca Raton, and Wellington. She enjoyed life and filled hers with reading, cooking for her family, singing and dancing, and interior decorating. Parties and holidays were her favorite and she loved nothing better than a good conversation. She lovingly raised four children always saying that was the most important job she ever had. She set an example of unconditional love when she took care of her soulmate, husband Edward, who predeceased her in 2010 after ten years of illness. Karen will be truly missed by her mother Muriel Sussman Yavorsky, by her children Amy (Gary) Carlin, Susan (Mitchell) Carlin, Jason Fedas, and Kelly (Joseph) Kenney. Karen was the proud grandmother of eight. She was “mom-mom” to Lindsay (Raymond), Tyler, Shane, Alexa, Julia, Danielle, Sydney, and Jax. Her aunt, cousins, and friends will also miss Karen’s beautiful smile and lively persona. She was the shining light in any room she entered. You knew when she was around you were always going to have a good time. She will always be in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9th, 11a.m. at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach.
