Kathleen “Kitty” Marie DeCarolis

Our precious mother and loving wife, Kathleen “Kitty” Marie DeCarolis (Miller) of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Christmas.

She was a tender, compassionate spirit who lived to care for others, especially her husband and best friend of 52 years, Frank, who cared and comforted her while she battled chronic health problems the remaining years of her life.

Kitty was born in Leominster, MA, to Doris and Richard Miller, and was one of nine children. She was a mother figure to her youngest siblings from an early age; she was born to be a mother.

She and Frank spent the early part of their married life on the west coast enjoying the beautiful sights of Half Moon Bay, before ultimately moving back east to raise four children. She cooked pasta sauce at least once a week for 55 years, up to the last week of her life, for there were few things she cherished more than feeding her family. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, making sure they always knew the pride and love she held for them.

Kitty is survived by her devoted husband Francis “Frank” DeCarolis and her four children: Dean DeCarolis and his wife Wendy of East Bridgewater; Ryan DeCarolis and his wife Christine of Bridgewater; Nino DeCarolis and his wife Brandi of Tyngsboro; and Heidi Waite and her husband Kevin of Mansfield. Kitty is also survived by her grandchildren Julia, Angela, Owen, Jackson, and Luke. She is predeceased by her parents and four siblings.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in East Bridgewater. All are welcome. Friends and family wishing to honor Kitty should spread kindness and love, as she did every day to everyone she ever met.
