Kevin E. Harris (1946-2024)
Kevin E. Harris, February 17, 1946 – July 30, 2024
Loving husband, caring father, and adoring Grampy passed away peacefully
surrounded by his family on July 30, 2024. Kevin was born in Lowell on February 17,1956
Kevin was the sixth child of ten brothers and sisters, a lifelong resident of Lowell,
MA, and a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1966. After graduating high school,
Kevin enlisted in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam where he served
honorably. Shortly after his return home, he met the love of his life Marilyn (Lagana)
Harris and went to Woodstock, two events that would shape the rest of his life. Marilyn
and Kevin married in 1972 and spent the remainder of his life together. Kevin loved
music and going to concerts with Marilyn and his children. In his later years, Kevin
discovered a love for golf, and would regular play with his friends and family. Kevin is
survived by his wife Marilyn, their three children and their partners, Starr Harris of
Warren, RI; John and Jennifer Harris of Winthrop, MA; and Michael and Meghan Harris
of Pelham, NH. Kevin’s greatest joy in life was getting to meet and spend time with his
four grandchildren Stella, Hanna, Olivia, and Aiden. Kevin is survived by his brother and
wife Ralph and Nancy Harris of Minnetonka, MN; and his sisters and their spouses,
Marylouise McMahon of Palm Beach, FL; Isabel and David Light of the Villages, FL;
Martha and John Anderson of Gloucester, MA; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
They will all miss him dearly. He was predeceased by Frederick Harris of Enid, OK;
Robert and Grace Harris of Levittown, NY; Charlotte Pare of Lowell, MA; Joan Harris of
Chelmsford, MA; and Maryclaire St. Louis of Rochelle, IL. Kevin’s family would like to
give their sincere thanks and gratitude to the outstanding doctors, nurses, and support
staff at Tufts Medical Center Cardiac ICU. We are forever grateful for the extra-time you
gave us with our beloved father and Grampy.
A funeral service will be held a St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell, MA, on August 10,
2024, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tufts Medical Center,
