King Chao Chu
August 15, 1942 – December 24, 2018
King was born in Pyinmana, Burma (now Myanmar), where he met and married his wife Ah Kin (Jennifer). They emigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1974, where they raised two children, Victor and Lucy. King and his family moved to southern California in 1991, where he worked hard as a school bus driver and banquet bartender in order to make ends meet. After retiring, King and Jennifer moved to Cambridge, MA in 2013, and joined the wonderful JFK senior community.
King encouraged his children to study and work hard so they would one day have opportunities he did not have. King is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jennifer, his adoring children, Victor (Rina), Lucy (Jason), and grandsons Matthew, Andrew, and Hiro.
King was a hardworking man who truly loved his family. He was also a playful jokester who loved to laugh, enjoy good food with family and friends, and talk and reminisce for hours at a time. His genuine joy for life and laughter will be missed dearly.
