Lawrence “Larry” Ginewicz (1952-2024)


Lawrence “Larry” Ginewicz, aged 72, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on June 26, 1952, in Boston, MA, Larry dedicated much of his life to his family and his work in appliance repair, a field where he excelled due to his passion for fixing things.

Larry was a quintessential family man, deeply loving and immensely proud of his daughters, Kimberly and Patricia Ginewicz, and his wife, Patricia Ginewicz. His life was also blessed with the joy brought by his granddaughters, Kellie Powers, Brandie Powers, and Hannah Lewis, and the steadfast support of his son-in-law, Michael Powers. Larry was predeceased by his daughter Michelle Ginewicz and his brother Anthony Ginewicz, with whom he shared many cherished moments, including their frequent casino visits and card games.

Beyond his family, Larry had a vibrant array of interests. He was an avid player of card games and had a creative side, which was expressed through his pottery. His interest in art was paralleled by his enjoyment of war documentaries, reflecting a deep appreciation for history and storytelling.

The funeral services will be held at Boston Cremation in Malden, Massachusetts, on January 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Boston Cremation is assisting the family during this difficult time. Larry’s life was marked by his unwavering support for those he loved and his ability to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. He will be remembered as a man who always had your back, no matter what. His legacy of love and resilience continues to inspire all who knew him.
