Leo Abramov

Leo Abramov passed peacefully on March 9, 2023 after a courageous 9 month battle with stomach cancer.  Leo was 36 years old, but had a wisdom, kindness, and gentle spirit that gave him the essence of an “old soul”.  Yet he also had a free spirit and fun loving goofy side with a penchant for dad jokes that added to his charm. Leo made lasting impressions on all he met with his ability to uplift and encourage others to be their authentic selves.  Leo was active in advocating for Trans Rights and co-founded his town’s yearly pride event, with his wife, Kerrylynne.  The two of them shared a beautiful love and had only been married for 9 months when Leo received his diagnosis.  Together they faced his illness with dignity, humor, and unyielding support.

Prior to his illness Leo was actively engaged in fitness and running and had completed a 1/2 marathon along with many other races.  Leo loved the outdoors and was frequently camping/hiking with his band of “bros”.  Leo leaves behind an exorbitant amount of family and friends who adored him.  He will be missed tremendously and we are all committed to making sure his legacy lives on.

There will be no funeral service for Leo, but a celebration of his life is being planned around his birthday in June.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to a Go Fund Me that has been set up in Leo’s name.

Leo was an amazing human being, and I loved the times we got to spend together and the double dates we all got to go on. I will never forget those beautiful memories. Much love to you, Kerry.

    Kerry,
When Leo met you something beautiful changed in him. He loved you so deeply. My heart breaks for you but I hope you find some peace in knowing how widely he was loved and knowing what a beautiful mark he left on this world during his far too short time here. Sending love and light to you always. 💙

Thinking of you. I guess we will have to do our introvert get togethers when my port goes. Until then, happy trails…
