Leona Ann (Chepetsky) Fuqua, daughter of Walter A. Chepetsky Sr and Dorothy M. (Morris) Chepetsky-McNally, born on October 10, 1958 in Quincy Massachusetts passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Season’s Hospice in Milton at the age of 63.

She was the devoted wife of 30 years to the late William Fuqua of Yazoo, Mississippi. Leona leaves behind her five children: Debra (Aurelien) Alexander and Roland Aurelien Jr. of Brockton, MA, Janelle Murray of Hyde Park, MA Willie Fuqua Jr. of Marshfield, MA and Robert Fuqua of Myrtle Beach, SC; loving grandmother of: Reese, Joseph, Jeneijah, and Armani; her sisters: Dawn Chepetsky of Brockton, MA, Joanne McNally of Brockton, MA; her brother John Chepetsky of Whitman and a host of in-laws, step children, step grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews and friends. All who knew Leona will miss her dearly. She is the sister of late Mary Ella Chepetsky, Elenor (Chepetsky) Atwater, Lorraine Bergeron, Sandra Lee Selby-Gardner, and Walter Chepetsky Jr.

Leona went to Dorchester High and worked as a nursing assistant in her early years. Leona loved playing Bingo, listening to music, having a good laugh, and spending time with her family.

All are invited to attend her Memorial Service at Boston Cremation, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy, MA 02169. Services will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, May 20th.
