Liv Synnove Mullen (Uvaag), formerly of Quincy, MA, recently residing in Franklin, MA passed away
at 78 after a long illness on Thursday June 22, 2023. Liv is survived by her daughters Heidi Bryan
and Joy Mullen. She also leaves behind her son in law, Michael Bryan and two grandsons that she
absolutely adored, Shane and Luke Bryan.

Liv was born and raised on a farm in Spydeberg, Norway to her parents, Monrad and Magna, and
was the youngest of 7 children (Anne, Paul, Magna, Inger Johanne, Astrid and Morten). She bravely
emigrated to the United States in her early twenties to nanny for a family in Boston where she got
married and had her daughters. She held several administrative and accounts payable roles, most
notably for Brown Brothers Harriman of nearly 20 years.

Liv was a proud mother and our biggest “cheerleader.” Her most treasured role was that of “Mormor” to her beloved grandsons, Shane and Luke. She enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Even though she was across the Atlantic Ocean, she maintained close relationships with several of her nieces and nephews in Norway. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and was always a true farm girl at heart. A private celebration of her life is planned for a later date.
