Died peacefully on December 8th 2022 . Married for 60 years to his beloved wife the late Norma Sybil Witt (Brodie). Mannie leaves behind his daughters, Ellen Witt and husband Tom Clark, Linda Witt Chappell and husband Webb Chappell . Beloved son, Howard Witt passed prematurely on November 10, 2021. Mannie loved his daughters in law, Jodi Lemieux and Carolyne Hannan. Grand Children, Ashleigh Witt Wilder and husband Eric Wilder , Aubrie Witt, Ava Chappell Ordon and husband Matt Ordon , Julian Chappell, Jared and Deirdre Witt and great grand children , Nora, Fox, and Bowie Wilder were always in his heart. He never missed a birthday always sending sweet loving cards with personal notes. Mannie enjoyed the great fortune of loving life long friends and family with whom he shared celebrations , travel , and always a good laugh. He was proud of his Navy service as a signalman first class during WWll aboard the USS Arkansas and maintained connection with his shipmates until very recently. Mannie was a kind and gentle person. He was an intrepid soul who loved to explore new ways of doing things. His many businesses included manufacturing hardwood charcoal at kilns in western Mass. He was a man ahead of his time. He loved to dance, was a nature lover and avid gardner and was always happiest captaining his boat on lake Winnipesaukee or sharing his home , Wittcliff, at the edge of the sea in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Mannie was a wonderful husband, dad, brother , uncle , grandfather, friend. We will miss his gentle ways.
