Margaret “Margie” Loukas (1960-2024)
Margaret “Margie” Loukas, aged 64, of East Boston, MA, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2024. Margie was born in Boston, MA on April 25, 1960, and brought light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her throughout her remarkable life.
Known for her radiant personality, Margie was the life of the party at social gatherings, exuding elegance and a spirited love for dance and music. Her passion for cooking was well-known, as she exhibited extraordinary skill in the kitchen, often filling her home with mediterranean aromas, always enjoyed by her loved ones. Margie’s laughter and warmth were staples at family events, her fondness for television dramas and mysteries like NCIS,CSI,Blue bloods and Supernatural kept her entertained and often served as a conversation starter.
As a loving mother and grandmother, Margie’s nurturing heart was the cornerstone of her family. Her children, Alexa and Christos Loukas, and grandchild, Paul Navarro-Loukas, will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. Her lifelong friendship with Annette stood as a testament to loyalty and sisterhood, a bond cherished by both.
Margie’s presence will be profoundly missed by her surviving family: her children; grandchild; siblings, Maria Salvaggio, Lucy Viola, Charlie Salvaggio, John Salvaggio and wife Annette, Michael Salvaggio, Vincent Salvaggio, and stepsister Rosa DelSonno; alongside numerous nieces and nephews. She was greeted in heaven by her late parents, Maddalena and Giovanni Salvaggio.
The Loukas/Salvaggio family extends an invitation to friends and community members to join them in commemorating Margie’s life during a memorial mass scheduled for 10 AM on November 16, 2024, at Saint Joseph-Saint Lazarus Church, located at 59 Ashley St, East Boston, MA 02128.
