I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Merrill. On August 6th, 1983 on a Saturday morning, I got out of the alcohol detox at Beacon and Kent. Merrill was on the stairs waiting for me. We had been drinking buddies and Merrill had gotten sober. I was on my way to get a drink but instead Merrill took me to an AA meeting. He took me to meetings for the next several weeks. 37 years later, I am still sober thanks to Merrill. I will always be grateful to him and I will never forget him. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

It is of great sadness hearing of Merrill’s passing. He was a loyal friend to me for many years growing up in EC. Like all of us we come with issues in life and his fight always seemed to tougher than others. I’ve extended my hand to him on many occasions and he was always graceful to except. RIP my friend. πŸ™πŸΌ
