I will forever hold in my heart special memories of my “Hossie Kid”; enjoying a glass of fine wine as we reminisced about our fifty years of friendship, and listening to stories about his about the casino and golf. Most of all, I loved his infectious laugh throughout our annual summer and Friendsgiving gatherings at the Cape. No matter how much time passes I will never lose the sound of his voice greeting me with, “Hey Dee”.
Lyn, I know your heart is breaking, and my deepest sympathy goes out to you; as well as the family. I pray that you find comfort in all the good memories you shared together. May Mike’s beautiful soul rest in peace.

Lyn- I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I was lucky enough to meet you when I came out to Massachusetts to play golf and visit. Mike was like my brother throughout our high school years and when he came home in the summer. He was athletic, smart and alot of fun to hang out with. We had more fun together than people would believe. I will always cherish those great memories. He will be missed by anyone who knew him. Nancy and I send our love and prayers to you and Mike’s family. Love, Tom

Lyn – Although we’ve never met, Mike and I went to school and played sports together in Shenandoah, Iowa. Our parents both moved from Shenandoah in 1965. Over the past 50 years I’ve tried to locate Mike, with no success. Yesterday a photo of Mike and I came up on my Facebook memories. Today I once again attempted to locate but unfortunately I found his obituary, which I shared on my Facebook page. My thoughts are with you, Kevin and family. May he rest in peace…

  16. Ken Anderson on February 9, 2023 at 9:25 am

Lyn, I’m another friend of Mike from our middle school years in Shenandoah. He helped acclimate me to a change in geography when I moved from California to Shenandoah, and many of us have such great memories of this great guy. May all of these memories bring you peace, and we all hold Mike and his family close to us during these times.

Lyn, I was at Trinity with Mike…played baseball with Mike…and as an Alpha Chi Rho member, lived with Mike during his “presidency”. I will always remember him as kind, considerate, and fun-loving, but especially for the smile. I am sure he will be missed…my sincere condolences, and may you find comfort in the company of your family and friends.
    Michael McGuirk
