Michael Sharpe

Michael Sharpe of Woburn died peacefully at home on July 21 with his wife by his side. Michael was 71 years old. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne Granfield from Woburn. Michael was born and raised in New York. He was the beloved son of Paul Sharpe and Miriam (Frisch) Sharpe. He graduated high school in New York and went on to attend Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. Michael pursued a career in the shoe business on the wholesale end. He worked for several companies always saying he enjoyed Timberland the most. In Michael’s travels work took him to Boston where he met the love of his life Jeanne who on their very first date called her “J” and so the love affair began. They did some traveling through the years as well as several cruises. Their most recent trip was to the Amalfi Coast which stole their heart. They had always hoped some day to return to Italy.

Michael leaves his beloved wife Jeanne Granfield of Woburn as well as all her family, his daughter Kasey Petrazio and her husband Erica Petrazio from Pittsburgh PA,Jonathan Shape and his wife Alexis Sharpe from Charlotte NC, his grandchildren Maddie, Lucas, and Finn Petrazio and Roman and Cecilia Sharpe. Also his special friend Richie Cheroff who supported and comforted Michael through his entire journey.

    Jeanne…….this is just shocking. I am so sad to read this. Although we did not know you and Michael for long. Our short lived friendship was so FANTASTIC. You and Michael turned a cruise into a …………….bestie fest.
