   I am sad to hear the news of my friend Michael.
   Mike and me played in a band together for several years and enjoyed the life as working musician. He was a special talent with unlimited potential. A voice and demeanor that so many envied.    I am so sorry to have to say goodbye to this great talented brother of mine. He has left an indelible impression in my life, and it saddens me that we will never share the stage again as I always thought we would. The bell is ringing and I can still hear him say, “I’ll get it.”

   I just learned of Mike’s (AKA Ishy) passing today. I had the honor of filling in for him for the Exciters many years ago, now. I only had two conversations with Mike and found him to be a humble gentle person. My condolences to those who feel a far deeper loss than I. Any musician’s passing is a loss to humanity. May he rest in peace and harmony with all that is one and one that is all.
