Patricia D. (Sparkes) Megerdichian , 73, of Gloucester, MA, formerly of Hopkinton, MA, passed away peacefully after a two year battle with lung cancer, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Arthur Megerdichian, the love of her life, who passed away in 1991.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 27, 1943 to the late William and Dorothy Sparkes. She grew up in Newton, MA and was a graduate of Newton North High School, Class of 1961. Pat had been employed as an Assembler at Valpey-Fisher/CTS for 33 years before she retired to spend more time with her family. She vacationed in the Caribbean with her children. She enjoyed time at Foxwoods with her daughter and son-in-law. She loved summers on the Cape with her friends, especially spending time with her dear late friend Juneann White.

She is survived by her daughter Tracy Sullivan and her husband Daniel, grandchildren Aimee (CJ), David (Dominic) , and Sarina Sullivan, her son Wayne Megerdichian (Kris) , her brother Jack Sparkes, her nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many dear friends who she loved and cherished for over 50 years.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 306 Wood Street in Hopkinton on April 28, 2017 at 12pm with a Celebration of Life to be held at Carbone’s Restaurant, 280 Cedar Street, Hopkinton at 1pm. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s name can made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA.
