Paul Lamar Grant


Paul Lamar Grant, aged 56, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Boston, MA. Born on June 14, 1968, in Boston, Massachusetts, Paul was a cherished member of the community and a proud graduate of West Roxbury High School.

Paul was known for his vibrant personality, marked by his humor, creativity, and loving nature. He had a profound passion for cooking, often delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. A lover of old school music and an avid supporter of all Boston sports teams, Paul’s spirited enthusiasm was contagious. His distinctive style was frequently accentuated by his favorite Adidas apparel, a true mark of his unique identity.

He leaves behind a loving family: his children, Bryanna Johnson and Paul Grant Jr.; his mother, Ruth Grant; his brother, Harold Grant; his wife of 33 years, Inez Grant Stackhouse; His paternal siblings from the Carr family. Paul was a devoted stepfather to Lawanda, Justina, Andre, and Anthony Stackhouse. His joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Maya June Martin, Abraham F. Faldor Jr. (AJ), Nyla Stackhouse, Catilina Stackhouse, and Eliana Stackhouse.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Mattie Bell Grant and Willie Walter Grant and father James Carr.

Services to honor Paul’s life will be held at Boston Cremation, located at 287 Main St, Malden, MA 02148 on Monday, July 15th from 10-12 noon. The funeral home will be assisting the family during this difficult time. Paul’s legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
