Raymond Joseph Jacques, known affectionately as “Snake,” passed away on September 26, 2024 at the age of 79 in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he was born on March 15, 1945. Raymond was a cherished figure in his community, renowned not only for his culinary skills as a beloved cook at a well-known local diner, but also for his deep commitment to his family and friends.
Raymond’s life was marked by a profound dedication to his loved ones. He was a loving husband to Barbara, with whom he shared 38 wonderful years. A devoted father to his son Joseph and a doting grandfather to Elijah and Hailey. Raymond’s legacy of love and care lives vibrantly through them. He also leaves behind his sister Doris, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly.
A graduate of Lowell High School, Raymond’s life was deeply rooted in his hometown. His passions, including enjoying coffee, taking long walks, and shopping. Above all, spending quality time with his family was paramount. These simple pleasures brought great joy to Raymond and those fortunate enough to join him.
Raymond’s life was a testament to the power of putting family first, a principle he embodied through his actions every single day.
