Roberta Gittens


Roberta Ann (Burke) Gittens, 65, of Medford, died peacefully with her son and daughter by her side, on December 14, 2016 after a short intense battle with multiple cancers. Born and raised in Malden, she was predeceased by her parents Edmund and Eleanor (Esposito) Burke.

Roberta will be forever loved and remembered by her son Ronald Gittens, and his fiancé Jacqueline Blaikie of Medford. Her daughter Tonya (Gittens) Camara and her husband Jamie of Malden. Her stepdaughter Lynne (Walker) Ramirez of Lynn. One of Roberta’s greatest joys was being a grandmother, she leaves behind her beloved granddaughters Courtney and Kayla Gittens. Her sister Ellen (Burke) Robson and her husband Thomas of Peabody. She is also survived by her dear friend Pat Casey of Malden, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Per Roberta’s request, there will be no services. She will be cremated and her ashes will be returned to the place she loved, privately by her children.

    it’s been almost 7 years and yet i still find ways to find your legacy in the smallest things everyday. i’ll always miss our beach trips and slush eating late at night. love and miss you nana b <33 – toots 🙂
