Rose Theresa (Cerbone) Davin, affectionately known as Rosie, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Melrose, MA, at the age of 86. Born on April 24, 1938, in Revere, MA, Rose lived a life marked by her outgoing, funny, and kind personality.

Rose attended Revere High School (56) and went on to work at First National Bank of Boston as a supervisor. After raising her children, she worked for another 20 years as a hostess at Lighthouse Nursing Home in Revere, where she was a beloved figure. Her warm presence and bright smile made her a favorite among both staff and residents.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, John Davin, who passed away on September 9, 2022. She is survived by her loving children, Sean Davin, Steven Davin, and Jennifer Scarpello; son-in-law David Scarpello; grandchildren Nicholas, Anna, John, and Stella Scarpello; brother Dr. Ralph Cerbone and his wife Anne; and sister Joanne Carnevale and her husband Anthony.

Rose was a loving mother, adoring grandmother, and a loyal friend to many, forging relationships that would last her whole life. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and getting together with her various friend groups over a cup of coffee while sharing stories and laughs with one another.

Rose will be remembered for her spirited laughter and generous heart. Her kindness and fun-filled spirit will be missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held on September 26, at St. Mary’s Parish, 670 Washington Ave in Revere at 11:00am.
