Rosemary Flaster passed away at age 84 at the Neville Center Nursing Facility on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. She was born in Liverpool, England on April 19, 1927 to the late Mary and James Carr. She had a younger brother, the late James Carr. Most of her working years were spent as a legal secretary but later in life she was certified as a teacher for English as a second language. She traveled to Prague, Czech Republic, at age 75, where she taught English for 6 months before returning home to Somerville. She continued her teaching on a volunteer basis. She was an avid reader and an expert of Elizabethan History. She is survived by her two children, Andrew and Elisabeth, son-in-law, Larry and her grandson Ian. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 17th at 1:30 pm in the Community Room at Properzi Manor, 1325 Warren Avenue Somerville, Ma.
