I you touch me, I might not let go
I might creep inside your body
silent and soft as a cat’s paw
I might merge, become part of you,
enter your being smoothly,
effortlessly as air.
I might want to mingle
with your molecules,
synchronize with each synapse,
touch each cell carefully,
delicate as a butterfly’s kiss
Inhale and exhale in unison,
then curl up and sleep
in a corner of your heart.
