Steven “Steve” A. Cobb


Steven “Steve” A. Cobb, 64, of New Bedford, MA and formerly of Mansfield, MA passed away peacefully Sunday, April 10, 2022 with his family by his side.  He is survived by his son Christopher J. Cobb of Summerfield, FL; his wife of 20 years Suzanne Boudreau of Summerfield, FL; his sister Patricia “Patti” Cobb Henry of Evington, VA; his niece Jessica “Jesse” LaRose of Virginia; 6 grandnieces and 1 great grandniece along with several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He also leaves his “grandpuppy” Simon.  His nephew, Tyler Stearns predeceased him.

Steve was born in Attleboro, MA the loving son of the late George and Beverly (Mathews) Cobb.  He was raised in Mansfield and graduated Mansfield High School Class of 1975.  After graduating he served our country joining the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana for many years and overseas in the Demilitarized Zone in Korea during Peacetime.  Steve moved back home to Mansfield where he met Suzanne and they were married in 1983.  They started their family and moved to Wareham.  Steve worked as a truck driver for many companies throughout his career including Cape Cod Express and worked as a machinist for New England Metal Form until his retirement in 2018.

Steve loved NASCAR, working on cars, fishing, the band Fleetwood Mac, taking pride in his yard and cutting the grass, playing with the family dogs but loved spending time with his family.  All who knew Steve will miss him dearly.

All are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10am-noon at Boston Cremation, 115 North Main Street, Mansfield, MA 02048.  Military Honors will be presented at 11:30am.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to: American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html
