Theodore M. Quist
Theodore M. Quist, 81, of Acton, Mass. passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home, after a brief illness. He was born September 16, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Abraham and Sylvia Quist. After graduation from Rockford High School in Michigan, he served four years in the United States Air Force. He then attended MIT in Cambridge, MA. He was employed by Lincoln Laboratories in Lincoln, MA; retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Price) Quist; a brother Richard Quist and wife Betty of South Carolina; His five children, Yvonne Quist of Acton, MA; Nancy Woodward of Fort Collins, CO; Pamela Kulju and husband William of Doylestown, PA; Sander Quist of Acton, MA and Jerome Quist of Acton, MA; as well as nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Quist of Michigan.

Ted was a great scientist,who never received the credit he deserved for his work on LED’s.
