Timothy R. Peshick
Timothy R. Peshick, 68
Timothy R. Peshick, US Army (ret), conservative patriot, and lover of old westerns, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. He never lost his courage, nor his sense of humor.
Tim was a loving father to Timothy R. Peshick II and Tiffany L. Bartholomew and proud
grandfather of Clodagh Bartholomew, Emily Peshick (predeceased), Conner Peshick, Nicholas Peshick, and Anthony Peshick. He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Shirley Clark-Peshick.
Born in Saginaw, Michigan and transplanted to Houghton Lake, Michigan, Tim graduated high school and enlisted in the US Army, serving 20 years with multiple overseas tours and deployments, including Operation Desert Storm (with the 11th ACR). He would often reflect on his time at war as the time “we blew ourselves up and saw no action.”
After retiring from the US Army, Tim returned home to Michigan where he spent his remaining years until he was “shanghaied” by cancer.
Tim is survived by his younger sister, three brothers, nieces, nephew, great nephews, and great niece.
Tim will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a man who stepped up, a man who stood his ground, who loved his country and who adored his family.
Had Tim voted early, his vote would have been for Trump. He was a patriot and he knew how to recognize those like him.
Tim wishes to spend eternity among the Great Lakes, so his ashes will be released off the Mackinac Bridge, as he requested. We hope he looks down upon us and smiles this coming summer, when his send-off by family and friends shall coincide with his annual shoot-fest, along with big helpings of Justin’s smoked meat.
