It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Paschal. She was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Born on January 24, 1947, Virginia also known as “Ginny”, nana, nani, was a beloved family member, friend, community member, long time Malden resident who made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a kind and gentle soul, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement to those in need.

Virginia was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School, Class of 1965. Virginia’s passion for volunteering, caring for the elderly as a home health aide, working as a kitchen aide at an pk-5 elementary school, was evident in every aspect of her life. 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Virginia had a deep love for reading, bingo, and singing her favorite tunes. Whether it was volunteering at soup kitchens, organizing youth activities, or at work, she found solace and fulfillment in these moments, often sharing them with loved ones and friends.

Mrs. Paschal was the wife of the late Joseph Paschal Jr, sister of the late Kathleen Doucette, daughter of the late Dorothy Marie Burke White, and of the late Thomas Burke. She is survived by her daughters’ Lucia K. Paschal-Davis and her husband Kevin Davis, Judy M. Herrick and her husband Brian Herrick of Winchester, MA., also grandmother of Corina Davis, Victor Davis, Amber Herrick. 

As we mourn the loss of Virginia Paschal, let us also celebrate her life and the incredible person she was. Let us remember her for her unwavering spirit, her boundless love, and the countless lives she touched.

A memorial service to honor the life of Virginia Paschal will be held on Monday, May 15th at Boston Cremation venue in Malden from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. A service will be held immediately following calling hours, beginning promptly at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Bread of Life, 214 Commercial St. Suite 209 Malden. MA 02148 in memory of Virginia Paschal.

May Virginia’s soul find eternal peace, and may her memories bring comfort to all those who mourn her loss. Rest in peace, dear Virginia, knowing that you will never be forgotten.
