Wayne Franklin Ross lost his battle with lung cancer on November 30, 2017, he was surrounded by his family. “For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4: 6-7

Wayne was born on January 4, 1968 in Boston, MA. Wayne was the eldest of seven children. Wayne was educated in the Boston public school system. Wayne enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, and pursued a career in the culinary arts industry.

Wayne was a charismatic and fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. Wayne would always end his conversations with “I love you”. Wayne had a strong passion for family unity.

Wayne had an outgoing personality and was full of life. He enjoyed sharing stories and making everyone laugh. Wayne loved listening to music, watching sports, watching Law and Order, and enjoyed spending time with his companion. Wayne was an avid chess player and loved playing cards with his friends during his spare time. Wayne had a kind heart and loved everyone, he will be truly missed and we will hold his love and memories in our hearts until we meet again.

Wayne is preceded in death by his brother Germaine W. Ross. Wayne is survived by his long time companion, Lydia Rich, her daughter, Toya Rich both of Boston, MA his beloved mother, Rose Ross of Chelsea, MA, his sister Tiffany Ross of Revere, MA, his sister Kimberly McKinney (Anthony) of Everett, MA, his brother Marc Ross of Boston, his sister Nikesha Ross of Boston, MA, and his brother Jason Ross (Katherine) of Everett, MA. He leaves behind a host of nieces and a nephew as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and family.

The Ross, Rich and McKinney would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone that supported us in our time of bereavement. May GOD bless you all.

    My buddy he was so much fun and words can’t express how much I will miss you and your loud voice. You was there for my pregnancy and came to the hospital when ever I thought I was going into labor.     My big cousin, Wayne I’m going to miss you so much I’m going to miss your phone calls and you stoping bye to have dinner with me.. you always made sure to tell me how much you loved me and loved my father Donald Ross so much..     Wayne, my big brother…Big Ross, D-Block, Marshall D, Dwayne. I remember you would always iron your socks and underwear…always looking fresh. You had an old soul when we were growing up. I remember you walking around with your boom box playing your rap music. Wayne you lived life to the fullest and you loved your family, and we loved you back.     Rest in Comfortbility my Guy, we grew up on the” Ledge” …. Where it wasn’t too smooth. But we made the Best of it and God bless Us enough years to look back at it all in Triumph! It was Always a pleasure whenever I see Dudes like you in passing,and we chop it up and reminiscing the good old days. You definitely will be Miss fam. Salute Soldier!!
